So, it’s January sixth, 2025, and I, for one, am remembering the carnage that took place at the Capitol four years ago. Donald Trump’s demons, helped along by Republican members of the House and Senate, stormed and defiled the U.S. Capitol, all in their attempt, last-ditch, but not the last try, to steal the election for Donald. The unwashed and unlawful many are serving jail terms and continuing to be Trump’s discordant backup chorus. High-ranking House and Senate members have still not paid for their crimes, but I’m waiting…
Four years later, having gotten the leader they wanted, they’re all pumped, primped, primed, and ready to have the vote certified for Donald Trump. Mike Johnson, his victory as narrow as his conscience, has urged his troops to be ready for their big day. The Capitol is fortified, needlessly, because Democrats tend to behave themselves, even when they have lost.
