The majority of White Americans see white males as "one of them." Therefore, they get the benefit of the doubt despite our knowledge that the first suspect is almost always the spouse. Black men, on the other hand, are already stereotyped as "animals" who cannot contain their rage. These white men are so arrogant they forget how easy it is to track the paper and digital trail they tend to leave behind or to consider that their side chick may not be able to handle the guilt.
