The most meaningful thing citizens can do is to learn how the separation of powers actually works, so that they would know just exactly which branch of government is responsible for what. We focus on the president because it's easy to attend to one individual, but the Congress and Supreme Court are responsible for most of how our lives are carried out.

That's how we get the governments that some people deserve, but the rest of us should not allow the least of us to call the shots.
