The stereotypes in some of these images were so cut and dried that no one could possibly dispute them, yet here people are claiming that, again, I (and presumably other brown and black people) am looking for racism gratuitously, but that I am imagining finding it and furthering it by discussing it!

The paragraphs in the Stanford article mentioning "passive racism" were among the most telling I've ever read. People really do get heated up about discussions of "race" and believe that their denial is more valid than our experiences. Have they never heard of History?
