The Supreme Court was all white and male for centuries. Dozens of qualified black people, men and women, Jewish judges, Asian scholars, Spanish-speakers, and the like, were all automatically excluded from the Court. No one even pretended to want diversity. If you want to defend that ground, then feel free, but it's sinking sand.

Gee, your family must be the only diverse family in the U.S. My family includes black, white, Polish, and various varieties of Spanish-speakers, and Africans. Don't try to tell me the "evils" of diversity. White people believe that they are the only ones qualified for anything. They resent it when others are smarter.
