Uh-oh, it must be the Season of Miracles, because KourtneyNicole and I agree on something. Unthinking adherence to ideas we have heard, but have not examined, only do us harm. I have heard too many people say, "Oh, God doesn't like that." or "That's against my religion," or my personal non-favorite, "Jesus, take the wheel." When we put our "faith" in beliefs we haven't examined, then we give over our own thoughts and agency to what?
I feel frustrated that people profess "belief" without really knowing what their beliefs are. Quoting chapter and verse is not necessarily knowing what you're talking about. I want us asking more questions and not professing that we have "the answer."
