Uh, Savannah, my picture is on my profile. If I am not a black woman, then my black mother and black father have lied to me about who they are and/or who I am. Or, alternately, I was bitten by the Vampire Lestat as a child and have been arrested in development since a tender age, thus rendering me not a "woman." Then again, due to the strength of my eyeglass prescriptions, I see most things I need to see pretty well. (Thank you, Dr. S.) Or, even better, since I was bitten by the vampire and I cast no image in a mirror, perhaps I don't really know what I look like after all.
I'm going to guess that I'm older than you; well, that's not a guess, I know I am. I have seen my share of racism, and I have written about my experiences on Medium. I get around on a number of forums; my viewpoint is not limited, and among the many posts and replies I have seen on several social media venues, I haven't seen one that centers white women and their relationship to abuse.
Again, the Academy Awards have a worldwide audience. Anyone who viewed "the slap heard 'round the world" has the right to express their opinion about it, regardless of whether or not you deem it wanted or needed.
