"We" are laser-focused about ourselves on Medium to the same degree as others are laser focused about their topics. If you want to read about gardening, being a grandmother, or IT, then you can find a plethora of articles about those topics, some of them even written BY BLACK PEOPLE!

I'm glad we're "focused" on ourselves. We need to keep the discussion going and examine the causes and effects of racism and make others see them as well. Why should we write for other folks' comfort?
