Wealth, even wealth made after overcoming adversity, makes you wealthy and resilient. It does NOT, however, make you politically knowledgeable or qualified for higher office in any way. Many celebrities try to parlay their way into political office, and gullible people keep voting for them. Jessie Ventura, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fred Grandy, Ronald Reagan, and even Clint Eastwood (he was a local Mayor) won elective office only because they were well known.

Oprah Winfrey is gifted with a brilliant personality and is relatable. Again, that makes her many things, but qualified for public office is not one of them. People voted for Donald Trump because he was rich and famous. We are still recovering from that particular mistake in celebrity worship. We need to learn the difference between fame and qualification before we get ficked again.
