When it became clear that COVID emergency measures were going to be in place for longer than we imagined, I truly began to fear for Americans. Our selfish desires for "freedom" and our wanting to pretend that the worst was over, added more people to the death tolls and have made the pandemic last longer.
I look at the World War II generation, and I think of how we can never measure up to them because we so believe that we are entitled to the constant consumption and comfort that we know. Michelle, I'm ready.
