While anything is possible, I don't think that those black grandparents sitting at the table with that little boy were "plumb tired." I'm talking about what happens from the moment the child leaves the womb. Are people plumb tired all the time? Sadly, the statistics show that parents have plenty of time to speak negatively, so they obviously have time to say something. (I've been doing children's language development for a very long time, and most people need to unlearn and rethink the conceptions they grew up with.) See my friend Ron Ferguson's program.
