While I tend to avoid events where there are drunken crowds of white people, I still attended the occasional baseball game (pre-COVID) and I won't let white crowds keep me from attending other events. I focus a lot more on their discomfort than mine. Let THEM wonder why I'm there. Let THEM ponder why they consider it "their" space and not mine. If I, one little old black lady, has that much power, then I'm going to wield it.
