Wow. Those two sentences certainly contain a lot. You might even say that it is a revolutionary thought, still not apparent to many, that others demand equal courtesy, equal respect, equal treatment; dare we say it; equal rights. Over time, the "forward guard" understands that everyone, and perhaps even everyTHING deserves courtesy, while those in the rear, no matter how much you inform them, have not yet come to that realization. Yes, there is a difference between intent and lack thereof, but those in the rear will almost always claim that their lack of intent (even if they may be transparently lying) should free them not only from blame for consequence, but also from consequences of their own in the form of responsibility.

You spent a lot of time on this one, and it shows.
