Yes, these governors have made quite a few errors in judgment. First, they obviously believe that residents of places like Martha's Vineyard are going to react the way Republicans would. Surprise, surprise, surprise.
Second, they believe that folks who think the way they do will "admire" their actions and that they'll get props. There are certainly those folks who will admire them, but they won't gain any more votes by these stunts. They appeal only to those who have already lost their humanity.
Third, wow, Massachusetts! Thank you for showing haters what hospitality looks like and for exposing the evil that lurks in the hearts of Republican governors attempting to win the "I Want to be Like Trump" contest. Did those folks forget that Massachusetts has a Republican governor? Were they trying to own him as well?
