You are disingenous in many of your "facts," by failing to tell the whole truth. Washington DC's budget and finances are completely determined by Congress, and the inequality arises from the high income of those private enterprises that do business with the federal government, most particularly in law and lobbying.

Cities controlled by Democrats have higher reported rates of gun violence because, first, they are actually reported. Second, white people began leaving urban areas when black presence became greater, and the best jobs quickly followed their flight to the suburbs. After that, Democrats began to be in control of city governments whose tax bases had become diminished, thus depressing services. Poverty begets violence. That the governing officials are Democratic is not a cause of violence. Third, most urban areas have strict gun laws. However, both the Republican Congress and the Supreme Court have made gun laws much more lax, so that it is easier both to purchase and to traffic guns. Borders between states have no barriers, and guns easily cross them and are made more available illegally.

I refer you to the works of Robert Margo, whose extensive research of national economics over time (and not for one administration) demonstrates that equality is ALWAYS increased during Democratic administrations. This holds true especially for people of color.

You, sir, have proven the truthfulness of "Lies, damn lies, and statistics." Let's talk about the net wealth of blue states versus red states, and which states are net contributors of tax dollars and which states are net receivers.
