You called this one wrong, sis. There is not only racism in the world at large, but there is colorism in nearly every culture. The darker-skinned people in many societies are looked upon as unattractive and "less-than." They are not made insecure about their hue until SOMEONE ELSE gives them that message. If you're fair, there are still people who hate your blackness. If you are dark, then you are reviled doubly. You don't need to tell yourself that you are generally not considered desirable. The world will tell you quickly enough.
