You must have heard the news that the pay gap between men and women still favors men. As you know, even if women are accepting of men with less income and a less prestigious job, you know that that is still an issue with men, who feel emasculated because they do not "measure up" to the woman in some way. Patriarchy is in our heads; we have NEVER had a healthy, equal society, in many ways way beyond patriarchy.

Women do not feel uncomfortable having more "power" in a relationship. Men feel uncomfortable when they are perceived to have less.
