Your piece seems harsh, but it's harsh because it's too true. When I read the statistic that more black men voted for Donald Trump in 2020 than did in 2016, I feared for our future.
Somehow, these particular black men looked at a phony, misogynist grifter and decided that he was someone to admire, emulate, and elect again, even after demonstrating just how little regard he had for black people, brown people, females, gay people, other-language speakers, and you name it. You are not made greater by imitating the hater. You're made great when your love is greater than your fear.
