Hmm, are you asking rhetorically what Democrats have ever done for non-white Americans, or are you asking because you seriously don’t know? If you’re asking rhetorically, then I’m going to suggest that you study US laws concerning Civil Rights since 1964 and see exactly what Democrats have done. I’ll also refer you to the work of Robert A. Margo, a Harvard Ph.D. economist whose work shows that African Americans make greater economic gains during Democratic administrations. Feel free to look him up, consult his research (a lot of charts and graphs, though) and investigate his credentials. If you truly don’t know, then I’m going to refer you to the same sources.
Where in the world did you get your DISINFORMATION about Barack Obama becoming a billionaire after his presidency? No offense, but do you have any idea of what the magnitude of a billion dollars is? Did you check the source of this disinformation? Is it credible? Is it fact checked? Is the source stating a fact or making a prediction? From the latest information I’ve seen, Barack Obama is worth about 40 million dollars. For everyone who complained about how wealthy he “became” during his presidency, they knew not whereof they spoke. Barack Obama became a millionaire PRIOR to his presidency because of his publications. Again, if you doubt me, then please look it up. The truth is not that hard to find. You are likely one of those people, as are most of us, who believe that we are intelligent enough to determine the difference between fact and fiction, truth and untruth. Most of think we can, and, unfortunately, most of us can’t. We are taken in by people who present information equivocally, and most of us don’t bother to evaluate it critically. You’ve demonstrated that here. https://untiredteacher.medium.com/a-plea-a-prayer-and-a-plaint-for-critical-thinking-b5223d5f504e
Now, lastly, and I’m going to confess, I don’t mind getting a little snarky for this one. Were you SENTIENT when Barack Obama was President? Are you aware of the responsibilities of each of the three powers under the Separation of Powers? There is the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judicial. Barack Obama, by himself, could not declare a National Election Day. That takes legislation which must be approved by Congress, which, if you are aware, was largely Republican and against everything that Barack Obama proposed, including allocating funds to repair the US Capitol when chunks of it were falling onto the street below. He unilaterally cannot declare what Election Laws are, BECAUSE THEY VARY BY STATE. Were that not the case, then we wouldn’t have so many state legislatures curtailing the right to vote and targeting black and brown people. Again, if you doubt me, then PLEASE go to the various websites of the 50 Secretaries of State, and research their voting laws. You will learn a great deal if you do. Surely you have heard of Holder vs. Shelby County, which is the infamous case that halted Federal review of voting changes in those states which had previously demonstrated curtailment of voting rights (mostly the old Confederacy.) The moment (seriously, the day after) the ruling was handed down, those states began changing their voting rights laws, gleeful that they could do whatever the heck they wanted. So, ask that “dude” question again armed with that knowledge. Your answer may have to be different than it was before.
I have been black, Democratic, and following politics for a very long time. I don’t repeat popular, but unproven, hearsay about what the political parties do. I’m not naive, and I know that both parties are subject to injections of big dollars from big donors. I also know, based on research which is easily accessible to you and everyone else, that one party favors the wealthy demonstrably more than the other. I’m going to let you guess which is which.
